Faith In the Unseen
Faith is. Is your faith in the unseen realm? There’s no such thing as “blind faith.” Faith is seeing the unseen. Faith is knowing that you know, deep down, without any doubt. Unbelief can’t penetrate true faith. Faith is anchored in the unseen realm. Doubt and unbelief are anchored in the natural realm. Is your faith in the unseen realm?
Faith by the Proceeding Word of God
Luke 4:4 (KNJV) But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’”
Here the Living Word (Jesus) quotes the written word. The Word of God is banked in the unseen world and there it is supreme. Jesus says we can actually live perpetually by every word of God, and not just some of the time. Therefore, we know that faith is not just for every once in a great while, but it is 24/7. We need the word of God continually in our lives to reveal to everyone else who we are. We don’t have to prove who we are because we just know. We can’t have encounters with God unless we have faith in Him and knowing that He is who He says He is. God even gives us promises so that we know what He says is true. Hook up faith to God, knowing that His promises are true, and that His Word will not change.
Faith is the Foundation for Hope
Romans 10:17 (NKJV) So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
It’s talking about a foundation and on this foundation is hope. Hope brings forth what we are hoping for.
Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Again, faith is hooked into the unseen world, but it also contains substance. That’s why you know it when it shows up. But, it takes faith to get it, and it’s based upon the Word of God, just like faith is. The Word of God will never change and it is unmovable and unshakable, which is the type of anchor that faith has since it is grounded in the Word.
2 Corinthians 4:18 (NKJV) While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
If you want to live from eternity you need to start thinking with eternity’s perspective. This requires God’s Word getting in you, and having the mind of Christ. The natural mind is limited, and can’t comprehend the things of God on its own. To understand these things and to see the unseen, we’ve got to have the Spirit of God, be full of the Word and understand His promises. We can’t be in agreement with church doctrine that does not line up with the Word. Shut up on blind faith, get into the Word, and begin to know. Even the disciples went through a process of believing and knowing that Jesus was the Christ. Watch the full sermon here:
